Reading earned a deserved point against QPR on Tuesday night as they twice came from behind as Mark Bowen's side continued to impress.

Bowen was in charge of just his second game for the Royals but he's slowly getting fans on side after an excellent display on Saturday saw them beat Preston, and now his team earned a point in a thrilling tie against one of the top sides in the Championship this season.

With that being said, here are THREE things we learned from Reading's 2-2 draw with QPR...

Ovie Ejaria is phenomenal

Ejaria was once again fantastic for Reading as he lit up the middle of the park against QPR on Tuesday night. He was absolutely brilliant for the whole evening, and used his balance to get past the R's defenders on a number occasions.

He also got an assist as his exquisite pass found George Puscas who expertly tucked it home into the bottom corner. It was a great goal, and one that was made by Ejaria, as he continues to have a standout season.

Bowen's substitutions were spot on

Mark Bowen has timed his substitutions brilliantly so far in his time as Reading boss. He's got it spot on, and seems to know when a change is needed and whereabouts on the pitch. Last night he brought on Pele at the correct time, and he made some important challenges throughout.

Bowen also brought on Garath McCleary who was lively throughout when he came on, he wanted to find an equaliser and McCleary helped the side do that by stretching the game with his pace.

Sam Baldock can fight back

Baldock was fantastic on his first appearance back in the team, and he netted a goal that would have given him all sorts of confidence..

The striker seemed to play brilliantly with Puscas as a front two and they were able to create a partnership from the early stages of the fixture. It's set to be an interesting season under Bowen, but with Baldock back in, it gives the manager another option in the forward line.
