Fulham took the lead inside the first 10 minutes after McCormack’s corner was headed on by Michael Madl that guided straight to Moussa Dembele’s path, and he scored with a scruffy attempt.

Fourteen minutes later, Hal Robson-Kanu was barged over by Fernando Amorebieta and the referee pointed to the spot.

The Welsh international made no mistake and calmly sent Andy Lonergan the wrong way to slot home the equaliser for the hosts.

It was the perfect half for Robson-Kanu, as he headed home an excellent cross from Ola John just before the break to give Brian McDermott's side the lead.

Despite the Reading forward being replaced due to injury, that didn’t let them affect their performance as they pushed hard for a third goal.

Fulham looked to be dead and buried, but Reading defender Jake Cooper brought down Ryan Fredericks in the box.

McCormack stepped up and netted his 19th goal of the season to secure a draw for the West London side.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Ashley Williams identifies THREE things that we learned from yesterday's game at the Madejski Stadium...

1) Should Reading have put Fulham out of sight?

Reading looked by far the better side throughout this Championship affair.

They were unfortunate to not go 3-1 up in the game after a coup of Reading players squandered chances in the second half.

If they had secured a third goal, that would have been game over and Reading would have been celebrating their fourth successive victory.

Fulham looked like they were hanging in there, but a clumsy Cooper mistake lost maximum points for his club.

Manager McDermott will not have been too disappointed with their draw as they stretch their unbeaten run to six games.

2) Hal Robson-Kanu

The Welsh international was certainly the main man in this game after netting a brace in the clash, despite only playing the first half due to being forced off through injury.

Robson-Kanu was certainly missed in the second half and the club could have done with his precise conversion rate that his fellow forwards lacked yesterday.

The club will be hoping that his injury will not be too serious as the forward is key figure in this Reading side.

3) Fulham’s character

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic would have been pleased with Fulham’s spirit in yesterday's game.

They showed real character to come back and fight for the equaliser.

The club have a talented front pair in Dembele and McCormack, but have made far too many mistakes at the back that has seen them severely underachieve in the current campaign.

The Serbian boss will be delighted that they held onto the draw and they climbed a place to 19th, however they need to start winning games as the sides below them are picking up points.
