QPR traveled to Nottingham Forest on Saturday and came away with a point as the two sides held each-other in a 0-0 draw.

Joe Worrall had a header ruled out from Joe Lolley's corner after the ball was deemed to be rolling when the kick was taken. The hosts were comfortably dominating proceedings during the first half.

Eberechi Eze impressed during the second half as he began to get a hold on the game but QPR struggled to carve out any clear-cut chances.

Lolley headed wide of the post late on as Forest were left frustrated by their visitors.

Here are three things that we learned about QPR after their weekend draw...

Need to defend better from crosses

Nottingham Forest had a clear game-plan against QPR and that was to get the ball into the box at any opportunity.

Mark Warburton's side struggled to deal with the crosses from open play and from set pieces that were put into the box with the hosts having a number of chances to break the deadlock with headers.

The QPR chief will be instructing his defence that they either need to stop the ball from coming into the box or throw their body on the line when it comes to heading a cross away from the danger zone.

Need more control of the midfield

Dom Ball and Geoff Cameron are perfect for tough battles and defending but they struggle when it comes to linking the play between the defence and the attack.

The pair were struggling to control the midfield upon their visit to Forest with the hosts having plenty of the ball and having the opportunity to do something with it.

The two could do with a deep-lying playmaker alongside them to calm things down when in possession and to let them focus on defending.

They miss Wells

QPR have struggled for goals ever since Wells went back to Burnley last month before sealing a permanent move to Bristol City.

Jordan Hugill has taken the lone striker role that was vacant up front but he has struggled so far to make an impression upon Warburton as the starting forward.

Wells' movement, clinical finishing ability and the way he linked play between himself and the three attacking midfielders behind him was always going to be hard to replace and QPR look as if they have really struggled since he departed the club.

Their season now looks like it will peter out after losing the experienced Championship forward.
