Gary Rowett will have no doubt been delighted after he saw his Millwall side secure an unlikely 1-0 win away to high-flying Swansea City on Saturday, with Jed Wallace's expertly taken free-kick sealing the three points for the Lions.

The result means that Rowett has only tasted defeat on one occasion since taking over the reins at the New Den, with the south Londoners currently going through the motions of a mini revival at present after a frustrating start to the campaign.

Millwall have shown a new-found confidence in their recent games, with the Lions appearing to be a much more attacking and subsequently expansive outfit, particularly away from home when their backs are perceived to be against the wall.

The former Birmingham City boss will have been delighted with his side's performance at the Liberty Stadium as they head into tomorrow's home clash against struggling Wigan Athletic.

Here, we take a look at THREE things we learned about Millwall from their weekend win at Swansea City....

Bialkowski underlines importance

The experienced shot-stopper once again underlined his importance to the Lions' cause as he pulled off a series of fine saves to deny a rampant Swansea City attack who peppered the Pole's goal throughout the 90 minutes, with the 32-year-old making important stops to deny George Byers and Kristoffer Peterson.

Bialkowski has been a revelation since moving to the New Den on loan from League One outfit Ipswich Town and the Lions will surely be keen to secure his services on a more permanent basis, with his long-term future at Portman Road seemingly clouded with doubt.

Wallace leads the way

The former Portsmouth man once again underlined his credentials as Millwall's star man this term, as he expertly sent his free-kick up and over the wall into the Swansea net, thus providing Wallace with his seventh goal of the season.

The winger was a constant threat to the Swansea attack, often providing a good outlet for Millwall to relieve the pressure on their back line and get up the pitch, with Rowett sure to be keen to tie the 25-year-old to a new long-term contract following his bright start to the campaign.

Good chance creation

Millwall have shown a much better desire to create attacking chances under the stewardship of Rowett, with the Lions mustering no less than 13 shots throughout the contest at the Liberty Stadium, fans will surely be delighted to see their side displaying a moren threatening edge.

Much of their attacking moves stem through the creativity of Wallace, however, the likes of Mahlon Romeo and Connor Mahoney deserve credit for digging out chances in a game in which the Lions had to show an abundance of patience and resolve to see out the win.
