Stoke City host league leaders Leeds United today at the bet365 Stadium, with Nathan Jones making his home league debut.

The ex-Luton boss saw his Stoke side knocked out of the FA Cup by Shrewsbury on Tuesday night, with a miraculous turnaround giving the travelling Salopians a happy journey home from Staffordshire.

It may be two losses in two for Jones, but the FA Cup is not relevant to Stoke, who must prioritise the league.

It doesn’t come much harder than Leeds, who enter the game top of the table, on the back of a convincing win over Derby last Friday.

The Whites will have a spring in their step after this week's events, with the Bielsa press conference surely giving them a sense of togetherness.

Here, we look at the THREE things we expect to see in Stoke v Leeds today…

Atmosphere

With not many fans attending the FA Cup replay midweek, for most, this will be the first time they see Jones in action.

Stoke fans are notoriously pessimistic, and often get on their teams back, but expect them to be fully behind Jones and the team on Saturday, as they try to create an atmosphere.

The bet365 would have been roaring with atmosphere anyway with the league leaders visiting, but Nathan Jones’ home league debut makes it much higher.

Tactical battle

We know that this one will be a tactical battle. Marcelo Bielsa admitted in his Wednesday press conference that he has already watched every Luton game took charge by Jones this season to prepare for this match.

Jones will have been watching this presser with intent, and he now has a chance to alter his tactics to catch Bielsa out.

Whatever happens, it promises to be a fascinating battle.

Jack Clarke with confidence

The story of the week has been the developing ‘spygate’ story, which has took away from stories about Jack Clarke, who was excellent against Derby.

The youngster has already been linked with big clubs, with Crystal Palace making an attempt to sign the winger, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Top six clubs including Manchester City and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in Clarke.

The winger will enter this game v Stoke with confidence thanks to the last week, and we expect him to carry on his form.
