The Championship resumes after a two-week hiatus with the fixtures coming thick and fast after the international break took centre stage.

This weekend sees the start of three games in seven days with the rough and tumble of the second-tier back on display at grounds up and down the country.

Fans have been itching to get the UEFA Nations League and friendly fixtures out of the way to get back to the cut and thrust of competitive domestic football.

The league resumes on Saturday afternoon as Millwall travel to Berkshire to take on Reading.

One place and one point separate the two sides in the league, with Neil Harris’ men hoping to record back-to-back wins.

Paul Clement, meanwhile, will be looking for a response from his team having had two weeks to mull over a heavy defeat to West Brom last time out.

It will surely be a competitive game at the Madejski Stadium between the two sides.

So with that said, here are three things we expect to see in Reading v Millwall on Saturday.

Millwall’s style of play with the ball is pretty apparent and combative.

But it is without the ball that really shows how hard working Neil Harris’ men are.

Lee Gregory is expected to start and should that be the case, then expect him to hunt down the ball at every available opportunity.

His appetite for closing down and wanting to press his opponents is an attribute that makes him such an asset in the side.

Arguably Reading’s best player this season, he will be the main threat to the Lions’ chances of winning this game.

He starred in the 4-1 defeat away at West Brom last time out - but he could be in for a more positive afternoon come Saturday.

Millwall don’t deal that well with pace and power when it is imposed on them.

If Bacuna can give them something to think about, then he could be the key to the Royals’ successes.

Two different styles of play will be on display on Saturday afternoon.

Millwall are a strong, direct outfit who want to move the ball forward quickly and play the percentages on the knock-downs to get in and around their opponent's box.

Reading don’t really have an identity about them and will play in a multitude of ways that may seem confusing to many, hence their lack of positive results.

It would not make sense to try and beat the Lions at their own game so expect Paul Clement to play with a style to try and counteract that.
