A stoppage time equaliser from Matty Cash prevented West Brom from picking up another three points when they played Nottingham Forest on Saturday in a hugely controversial clash.

A cool Callum Robinson finish gave Albion the lead before a Kyle Bartley own goal ensured the sides went in level at the break.

Tobias Figueiredo then put the ball in his own net to give the Baggies the lead and they looked comfortable until Cash's fine finish late on.

The visitors were rightly annoyed at several big decisions that went against them during the game but Slaven Bilic's men were on the receiving end when Robinson's shot was blocked on the line by an offside Bartley, although the ball had crossed the line before it hit the defender.

So, the Baggies had to settle for a point and here we look at THREE things we learnt about the Championship leaders from this entertaining clash...

They still switch off defensively at times

Whilst key moments went against Forest throughout, such as Jake Livermore not being sent off and a foul in the build up to Albion's second goal, there's no denying that the hosts were the better team.

Bilic's men had more attempts, controlled the game and deserved to win on the balance of play.

Yet, the reason they didn't was sloppiness at the back. More should have been done to stop Sammy Ameobi's cross for the first goal and Cash shouldn't get the space he did for the equaliser. These weren't glaring issues as such but Albion conceded twice, and Lewis Grabban missed a sitter, in a game that should have been managed better.

Callum Robinson has been an astute signing

All new signings dream of making an instant impact and that's exactly what Robinson has done.

He continued his fine recent form on Saturday with a superb finish and he was a constant threat with his pace and direct running. West Brom have picked up ten points from a possible 12 since he joined on loan from Sheffield United.

QUIZ: Can you name the season in which these 14 West Brom images were taken?

There's no reason to panic

Dropping points to a promotion rival in stoppage time is hugely frustrating but in the bigger picture it was another assured display from the Baggies.

Forest are a good side but Albion did well, created chances and will feel they should have won.

They won't come up against many sides as well organised as the Reds in the run-in and with a seven point lead over third, promotion is looking increasingly likely.
