Swansea City endured a frustrating afternoon yesterday as they lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa, which saw Wilfried Bony miss a last minute penalty.

Graham Potter’s side dominated the ball from start to finish at the Liberty Stadium and even though they struggled to create regular, clear openings, they will feel they were the better side.

However, a powerful header from Conor Hourihane gave the visitors the lead and despite late pressure, the Swans couldn’t get that late equaliser.

Bony had the opportunity the side were hoping for but his spot-kick was well-saved by Orjan Nyland who was the hero for Dean Smith’s side.

That is back-to-back defeats for Potter’s men and they are now seven points away from the top six.
