Stoke City claimed their much-needed third league win of the campaign, with a convincing 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night.

Gary Rowett's men dominated proceedings from start to the finish, and took the lead through a Bruno Martins Indi header after only ten minutes.

Tom Ince was tremendous throughout the game, he set up Martins Indi for his goal and then sealed all three points for the Potters in the 74th minute with a low drive.

The win takes Rowett's men up to 16th place in the Championship table, after three wins, four draws and four defeats from their opening eleven league games, and will look to extend their winning run with a trip to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

Here, we take a look at three things we clearly learnt about Stoke City in their 2-0 win against Bolton on Tuesday night.

It was a slow start to the season for Ince, but the winger is in inspired form having scored his third league goals in as many games last night.

Ince has been a standout performer for Derby in the Championship before, and definitely has the ability to be Stoke's talisman this season in their quest for promotion.

Berahino has had his doubters over the last few years and rightfully so too, but the 25-year old put in yet another good performance for the Potters last night.

His work rate off the ball was a trait that Stoke fans would have loved to see, and with time, he can be an important player for Gary Rowett.

It was yet another impressive performance from Woods, who continues to impress week in week out following his big-money move from Brentford in the summer.

The 24-year old dictated the midfield with ease, and can be yet another integral player for Stoke this season.
