Rotherham United secured a precious point in their quest to move further away from the relegation zone.

The Millers came back from 2-0 down on the road at Hull City to snatch an unlikely draw.

Nigel Adkins' men raced into an early lead before doubling it within the first 23 minutes.

But two goals in seven second-half minutes sent shockwaves around the KCOM Stadium as the in-form Tigers slumped to a second game without a win.

The point was a third in a row for Paul Warne’s men but in turn, moves them to three unbeaten after three defeats on the spin.

With that said, here are THREE things we clearly learnt about Rotherham after their comeback draw with Hull City.

Resilient Rotherham

If Rotherham are going to stay up, they need to show what they did last night in abundance throughout the rest of the campaign.

The Millers were resilient until the bitter end and did not let their heads drop after giving up two early goals.

That attribute will be essential throughout the rest of the campaign.

Made hard work of it

Warne knows Rotherham made hard work of the match against Hull last night and that is something they will need to eradicate if they have real hope of avoiding the drop.

There will not be too many times between now and the end of the season they will be lucky enough to haul themselves back from a two-goal deficit.

Making hard work of it will ultimately cost the Millers of a place in the Championship, they will need to improve going forward.

Defensively poor

The two early goals the Millers conceded were totally avoidable, but being defensively poor cost them.

Hull catching Rotherham cold caused Warne’s men to be nervy and unsure at the back until they eventually calmed down in the second half.

Warne will need to drill into his side the importance of being switched on from the off to avoid another uphill task that might not be so forgiving later in the season.
