Queens Park Rangers suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time under new manager Mark Warburton last night, losing 3-1 at home to Swansea City in the Championship.

It was a close first half at Loftus Road, but Bersant Celina put Swansea ahead with a composed finish after being put through by Andre Ayew.

QPR improved in the second half and eventually drew level when Jordan Hugill headed in from Ilias Chair's cross in the 66th minute.

However, Swansea retook the lead almost immediately with a penalty from Borja Baston, after Yoann Barbet brought down Jordan Garrick in the box.

Sam Surridge sealed the victory for the visitors from close range late on, just moments after coming off the bench.

The result means that Swansea continue their unbeaten start to the season, while QPR are now 19th in the Championship table, after taking four points from their opening four matches.

Here are three things we clearly learnt about QPR after their 3-1 defeat to Swansea...

Ebere Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel will cause problems

QPR struggled to make an impact in the first half against Swansea, but they responded well to going behind and created plenty of opportunities in the second half at Loftus Road.

Despite the defeat, there were plenty of positives for Warburton to take away from the performance and the QPR boss should be impressed by what he saw from the likes of his attacking players.

Ebere Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel were particularly impressive and were able to create plenty of opportunities for their teammates.

Osayi-Samuel in particular looked very impressive and while he lacked finesse at times, his pace and enthusiasm caused all sorts of problems for the Swansea defenders.

Barbet mistake proves costly again

Warburton accused his players of being naive in his post-match interview and it's easy to understand why.

QPR gave away a soft goal in the first half, but responded well to going behind and worked very hard to get themselves back in the game. They created several chances to score and after Hugill equalised, they looked like they could go on to win the game.

However, a rash tackle from Barbet undid all their hard work and gave Swansea the chance to retake the lead almost straight away.

Barbet went to ground unnecessarily to bring down Garrick, allowing Borja to put the visitors back in front from the spot. The penalty came at the worst possible time for QPR and instantly handed Swansea all the momentum.

It's the second time that Barbet has cost QPR points by giving away a penalty this season and he needs to start learning from these makes quickly if the team are going to pick up wins.

They need to be more clinical

Based on their performance against Swansea, QPR are not going to struggle to create opportunities in games this season. They've got some talented attacking players and will create chances to score, but the team have to be more clinical.

QPR showed great character to get themselves back into the game against Swansea and created several opportunities to score in the second half, both before and after Hugill equalised.

Chair was guilty of missing a big chance and Todd Kane also missed a good opportunity when he fired wide from close range.

QPR had 23 shots on goal last night, but they could only manage four on target.

The Championship is an extremely competitive and unforgiving league, and teams will punish you if you fail to take your chances. You have to say that's what happened to QPR against Swansea last night.
