It was another good weekend for Leeds United in the Championship’s promotion race, with the Whites edging closer to a Premier League return after victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Leeds had seen Sheffield United slip up against Millwall at 3pm – with the Blades held to a 1-1 draw.

However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side had no problems against Sheffield Wednesday, despite Keiren Westwood keeping the score down to 1-0.

Jack Harrison was Leeds’ hero, scoring with a fine touch following another brilliant Pablo Hernandez assist.

It sparked wild celebrations at Elland Road, with Leeds’ fans knowing that a couple of wins over Easter could leave them on the brink.

Here, we take a look at three things we learnt about Leeds on Saturday evening…

The pressure of playing second doesn’t faze Leeds

In midweek Sheffield United slipped up at Birmingham after Leeds had won 24 hours earlier, but Bielsa’s side made no such mistakes on Saturday.

There have been times in Leeds’ history where that kind of pressure has been telling, but this side is different and they get things done in a professional way.

Playing second is something they are going to have to get used to in the final four games, and on Saturday’s showing, it isn’t going to be a problem.

Tyler Roberts is going to be a star

A lot of focus during the second-half of the season has been on how Leeds didn’t replace Samu Saiz in January, but in a way they have with Roberts.

He’s thriving in the No.10 role and his performances deserve so much more credit.

Roberts gets in great areas and is fantastic on the half-turn.

And, he’s so young too - Leeds have a real player on their hands.

Promotion would mean so much

The Elland Road crowd are loving it at the moment and the whole atmosphere on Saturday was immense.

Of course, promotion would be massive for anyone in the Championship, but these Leeds supporters are craving a Premier League return and they are kicking every ball with Bielsa’s side.

The scenes we are going to see if Leeds get over the line are going to be special.
