Ipswich Town drew 0-0 with League One leaders Wycombe in what was a very dramatic game at Portman Road last night.

The lack of goals didn't tell the whole story, with the Tractor Boys controversially having a goal ruled out in the first half, whilst keeper Tomas Holy saved a very late penalty to ensure Paul Lambert's side picked up a point.

That result leaves Ipswich five points behind the leaders with two games in hand but more importantly they are four ahead of third-plaed Peterborough with one fixture in hand.

So, they are in a very good position ahead of what is a hectic part of the campaign and here we look at THREE things we learnt from last night's game...

They are struggling at home

That was an acceptable result in isolation for Ipswich but it continues a worrying trend in that they are drawing too many at Portman Road.

The Suffolk outfit have the 12th best home record in the third tier and it's something they need to improve moving forward.

They have a real resilience

Despite that, they are hard to beat and have lost just once on their own patch and twice in the league all season.

That spirit and togetherness was evident last night as they battled to get a point with the late penalty save highlighting that.

They aren't at their best right now

Obviously, the overall situation concerning Ipswich is extremely positive and the job Lambert has done this season has been nothing short of outstanding.

However, they have drawn successive games and have won one in five in all competitions. It's nothing to be really concerned about but they aren't at their best right now.
