The Hull City revival continued in emphatic style yesterday afternoon as the Tigers hammered Bolton Wanderers 6-0 in the Sky Bet Championship.

Nigel Adkins' men have become the form side in the second tier this season and it certainly looks as though they are only heading one way.

Of course, it is a bit early to say suddenly they are play-off contenders but with the form they are in and the gap to the top six hardly massive anymore, anything is possible.

Nigel Adkins, though, knows to keep his players' feet on the ground after this recent run as a club like Hull has shown that they can both excel and frustrate in equal measure in recent seasons.

For now, though, Tigers fans can be happy with performances on the pitch and, after their latest victory, we're taking a look at the lessons they will have learned from the drubbing of the Trotters...

It has perhaps seemed at times that Jarrod Bowen is the only threat the Tigers have but this game showed that they have goals across the pitch.

The six goals yesterday were shared by five players, certainly something that bodes well for the rest of the season.

Hull's Achilles last season was their defence.

They scored plenty but conceded just as many and that left them fairly low in the league standings.

Though they are far from out of the woods with that this year, then, recent games have suggested that Adkins is starting to find balance and that could yield plenty more victories.

A few weeks ago the Tigers were still firmly in the relegation battle but now they are sitting in a much prettier position.

They are not safe but they have momentum and plenty of sides below them now so, certainly, they can start to breathe a little easier - if not completely relaxed.
