Charlton Athletic picked up another impressive point on Saturday as they held Fulham to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage.

Scott Parker's side will have come into the contest full of confidence after winning their previous two matches against Wigan and Reading, but the Addicks proved far tougher opposition.

Lee Bowyer's men forced them to come from behind twice, with Ivan Cavaleiro and Aleksandar Mitrovic cancelling out goals from Conor Gallagher and Macauley Bonne.

The 2-2 draw saw the promotion-winners finish the weekend in tenth place and here are THREE things we clearly learnt about them from the clash...

Fearless

The Addicks have picked up four points in their last two games and considering both were against promotion favourites, you have to admire their approach.

Bowyer is clearly excellent at inspiring confidence in his side. Beating Leeds at home was the standout showing of the season but taking a point from the Cottagers should not be scoffed at either.

Considering they went straight ahead and retook the lead after being pegged back the first time shows the attitude that is at play within the club.

Midfield strength

If it were not already known, Charlton's biggest strength lies in their midfield.

It was more the defensive job they did in South West London that impressed on Saturday, with Williams, Gallagher, Cullen and Pratley doing a great job of stifling Fulham's creative heart.

That is something that will see them frustrate a lot of sides this season and will see them pick up crucial points against stronger sides.

Versatility

They do not have the biggest squad going but Bowyer is certainly capable of playing multiple systems.

Last weekend saw him switch to a 3-4-1-2 formation and it worked a treat. Previously they have deployed the midfield diamond with success as well as flat lines of four.

It is an impressive quality to impress, with Saturday emphasising how they can adapt to any opponent faced.
