Brentford claimed an impressive 3-1 victory over rivals QPR on Monday night as the Bees made it three wins in a row.

The push for the play-off places continues under Thomas Frank, and there's no sign of it letting up after an excellent win at QPR.

Ollie Watkins netted a brace, whilst Said Benrahma clinically dispatched a penalty, leaving the Bees with all three points.

The result means that Brentford are now just three points off the play-offs having played 14 games of the season.

Here's THREE things we learnt about Brentford following their impressive derby day victory...

Attacking trio is one of the best

The attacking trio going forward is simply sensational. They all seem to be clicking and have now scored three goals in each of their last three fixtures.

Bryan Mbuemo, Benrahma and Watkins all seem to be on the same wavelength and created chance after chance last night as they put to bed what had been one of the better teams in the division.

Watkins' confidence seems to have soared through the roof so far this season, as he's already scored ten league goals whilst Benrahma keeps building on last campaign's excellent performances. The new signing of Mbuemo seems to have rounded off a quite scintillating front three.

Ability to bounce back shone once more

Once again, Brentford were able to show a resilience that hasn't been at the club in recent years. The Bees have often been at fault for conceding quite sloppy goals, but when they conceded against QPR instead of it holding them back, they pushed on and found another gear.

This is vital, and they showed the same spirit against Millwall just last Saturday, when they were 2-0 down with just ten minutes left but managed to score three to turn the game around. This is something that's so key to teams that want to be in the play-offs come the end of the season.

Pontus Jansson makes a difference

The defender has had a huge impact on this Bees side. They've now managed to have a hard-fought body in their defence and a leader that the club needed.

It's been a good move for Jansson as well as he's been given responsibility and that is what he needed. Now that he's got that, he can push on and become a real cult hero at Brentford, especially as he's now captain of the side.

He has all the makings of a player who can lead a side to success.
