It's a good time to be a Blackpool fan, something that hasn't been the case for a number of years.

Fans had boycotted matches for four seasons, but they're coming back in numbers as the despised Oyston family have been deposed. That's seen the fans come back, coinciding with a run of form that's seen them trouble the play-off spots.

The fact they're even near the top six is remarkable when their issues are considered. Manager Terry McPhillips replaced Gary Bowyer earlier in the season, but has worked against a backdrop of uncertainty ever since.

Now, as the club emerge from the gloom of the Oyston reign, McPhillips and his side are getting their rewards. Against Bowyer's current side, Bradford City, they were utterly rampant and moved closer to a possible top six spot.

Here's three things we learnt about them this weekend.

They have focus

Bradford were woeful, but Blackpool had to remain focused and determined.

It is easy to lose that when a side are a bad as the hosts were, but Terry McPhillips saw his team come through the test with flying colours.

Three of the goals came in the second half, testament to their continued application throughout the tie.

Ruthless finishers

Gnanduillet has joined Stevenage on a one month loan

You have to beat what is in front of you and when those chances came, they took them.

Armand Gnanduillet bagged twice, but all afternoon they looked sharp and alert.

That's a great quality to take into the last seven fixtures.

They've moved on from their former boss

It was a case of old against new as former boss Gary Bowyer faced a side predominately consisting of players he had signed.

They showed they were more than a match for his current charges, impressing throughout the afternoon.

When Bowyer left it could have been detrimental to Blackpool, but this weekend showed just how much they've come on since then.
