Last Tuesday’s 4-0 defeat to Barnsley was just too much for some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans to take, with many taking to social media to vent their outrage – though they turned it round with a fantastic win at St James’ Park on Saturday against Newcastle United.
The ex-Italian ‘keeper Walter Zenga came in and took over soon after Fosun International bought the club in July, with Kenny Jackett being sacked as late as the 29th July.
Zenga has never managed in England before, and the only time he’s been in a league as competitive as the Championship is from his time in Italy.
Wolves sit in tenth place, with three wins, three draws and two losses so far. Many at the club are expecting a play-off spot after their takeover in the summer.
