Leeds and Reading will come together in a match that means little in the larger scope of things, except to provide an opportunity for fringe players to secure their futures.

With just a few matches to go until the end of the season, neither side look in any danger of dropping into a late battle to avoid the drop, with Leeds sitting in 15th, 14 points clear of MK Dons, and the Royals sitting 1 place above in 14th, but also 14 points off the drop zone.

Most of the media speculation surrounding the match will focus on the incident between Paul McShane and Danny Williams, which took place in the dying stages of the Royals' last gasp defeat to high-flying Middlesbrough.

But former Leeds boss Brian McDermott will be hoping that his side can put the incident behind them and pick up all three points.

Here are THREE things to watch out for during this encounter.

1) McDermott's attacking selections

Matej Vydra returned to Watford earlier in the week for unclear reasons, and with Quique Flores refusing to rule out the Czech as an option next season, it is looking increasingly unlikely he will return next season.

This means that Irish striker Simon Cox could be given another chance to start after his gaol midweek, or possibly Latvian forward Deniss Rakels could make an appearance.

Vydra missed a golden opportunity to take all three points in midweek, and he may find himself out of the team as a result.

2) The atmosphere

With protests against Italian owner Massimo Cellino ever present at Leeds matches this season, it will be interesting to see what kind of atmosphere there will be at Elland Road.

Brian McDermott can expect a frosty atmosphere among the travelling supporters after back-to-back defeats in the league.

Given the tension in both camps, the atmosphere at Elland Road could be a very unique one.

3) Steve Evans' reception

The Leeds manager has come under some considerable stick after another disappointing season, and after he came within a whisker of getting the sack by the trigger-happy Cellino earlier in the season, he can expect the pressure to be piled high in this encounter.

Leeds fans might not be able to stomach another home defeat and Cellino may feel a change is needed if he feels their frustration.

Speculation never seems to stop surrounding Evans' future and another defeat could raise more question marks.
