Despite their league position, both clubs have been re-vitalised from their managerial appointments of Lee Johnson and Neil Warnock.

Since Johnson was appointed at the Robins, the club have picked up 15 points in his 9 games in charge that has given them a sufficient chance of remaining a Championship side.

Before Warnock was appointed at the New York Stadium, Rotherham looked doomed, with consecutive defeats to Bolton and Charlton at the start of the year rubbing salt into the wounds to their dismal season.

However, Warnock has given the squad a sense of hope after guiding his side to five wins in their last six games.

This is one of the biggest games of the season for both sides and victory could ensure that one of them could be playing Championship football next season.

Football League World Writer, Ashley Williams identifies THREE things to look out for in the game..

1) Flint’s 100th consecutive start

The Bristol city defender is set to play his 100th game in a row for the Robins when they host Rotherham United tonight.

The centre back has been a key figure for Bristol’s century of games - playing every single minute in the club’s previous 99 games. He has helped Bristol in his career to win the League One title and lift the Johnstone Paint trophy.

Flint has played 42 times for the club this season – scoring 6 goals for his side.

In all of his games for Bristol, this has to be one his biggest games for the club and he will put his heart and soul to ensure they pick three points tonight.

2) The start of Rotherham’s fate

This week could be the biggest in the club’s season as they battle with Bristol City tonight, before facing another relegation showdown against MK Dons this Saturday.

The Rotherham squad will be confident that they can pick up maximum points in their pivotal week due to their phenomenal form of late.

The Millers have picked up more points over their last six league games than any other Championship side.

Just one point separates Lee Johnson’s Robins in 19th place, meaning there is still plenty of work to do by Warnock and his players if safety is to be achieved.

3) Derbyshire could be in the frame, despite sending off at the weekend

The club is waiting to hear whether Matt’s Derbyshire’s red card at the weekend will be overturned after the club appealed the decision.

Rotherham's striker was sent off when he was adjudged to have deliberately elbowed Gaetano Berardi.

When looking at the decision, Derbyshire is deemed to have been looking at the ball instead of intentionally looking to harm the Leeds player.

The decision to scrap the three match ban will be a big boost for the club after the striker is the club’s joint top scorer and they could use his goal-scoring threat for such an important game.
