Capital One cup heroes Sheffield Wednesday will come back down to earth on Saturday and quickly turn their focus back to the Sky Bet Championship, as they welcome Nottingham Forest to Hillsborough.

Wednesday will add Gary Hooper to their squad after his arrival from Norwich City. The striker has joined on loan until January and will be a decent acquisition for the South Yorkshire club.

The Reds will travel north along the M1 in desperate search of a win to climb up the league table and also ease the pressure on boss Dougie Freedman, with speculation this week mounting that Nigel Clough is waiting in the wings.

Here Football League World's Lee Clarke takes a look at THREE things to look out for during Saturday's game.

1) Barry Bannan

The 25-year-old ha always possessed superb potential and he appears to finally be showing it in the blue and white of Wednesday.

The magician in the middle of the park offers a superb range of passing and provides superb ammunition for the team's front players.

The visitors on Saturday are desperately short of options in midfield and they will need to keep tabs on the Scotland international otherwise it could be a long old afternoon for Forest.

2) Forest's fancy football?

Reds boss Dougie Freedman keeps lamenting his team's misfortune in his post match interviews but there is only so long those comments can continue without putting points on the board.

Forest have been playing some superb football - in parts - but to be fair, they haven't had the killer instinct to finish teams off.

That has to change and if Forest keep playing 'nice' football and losing games, it's not going to be long before the powers that be get tempted into a change.

3) A low scoring affair?

This fixture has seen the Reds run out winners 1-0 the last four times they have visited Hillsborough so don't go expecting goals galore on Saturday.

Wednesday are in good form and have players all over the pitch who are capable of troubling the Reds' back four, but at the same time Forest don't concede too many.

Forest also have the players who can cause damage but it is vital they start hitting top form and more importantly - the net!

With just 12 goals this campaign the Reds are among the lowest scorers in the league, and the odds are firmly stacked against the Reds.
