Neil Lennon takes his Bolton side across the Pennines looking for his team to improve on a dismal record of only one victory in their last 19 games.

The club is in turmoil at the moment, in the news for different reasons but mainly relating to financial issues, and Lennon will be hoping to put all that to one side and concentrate solely on what is happening on the pitch.

Sheffield Wednesday meanwhile have no such worries. A summer of investment has seen them climb to seventh place in the table at the turn of the year, and two successive victories over Fulham means the place is full of confidence.

In this article, I detail THREE things it is worth looking out for in the fixture at Hillsborough......

1) Gary Hooper

The man on loan from Norwich is due to see his spell end in the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see if his attitude and performance suggest he wishes to stay in Sheffield.

He has just begun to find his feet at Hillsborough, impressing with his movement and finishing in the last few weeks, and Wednesday fans will be hoping sees his future with them rather than back at Norwich.

If he can put in a big performance tonight, it will be further evidence of his desire to kick start his career once more with The Owls.

2) Mark Davies

Midfield playmaker Davies is being touted for a move to Wednesday, with some reports claiming a deal is more or less done.

This game could provide real insight for both Bolton and Wednesday fans alike. Bolton will be interested to see if he even plays, given the news an apparent bid has been accepted.

Wednesday fans will be keen to see their potential new man in action, in the hope he can give them a glimpse of what he might add to their own squad.

3) Bolton’s performance

It is well documented that Bolton are in a lot of trouble off the pitch recently. Soaring debts have left the club unable to pay wages at times, meaning no funds to bring in new players, and the club finding ways to ward off the administrators.

It is thought the rumoured selling of Mark Davies is a key component to them entering administration, as it will pay for the fees of actually doing so. They are also in talks to sell their training ground, and look likely to lose young starlet Zach Clough.

Neil Lennon will look to put all those issues to one side and try and get his men to deliver a performance the fans can be proud of. There is no doubt he has them working hard, but whether they have the quality to come away with a result, remains to be seen.
