Rotherham are 23rd in the Championship, and while a victory will not see them climb out of the bottom three, it will bring them to within a point of 21st.

The Millers having lost three in a row will host 4th placed Hull City, who themselves have struggled in recent weeks.

This is a virtual top vs Bottom clash, where every one is expecting Hull to go and beat Rotherham, but as is often the case it might not be as straight forward as the form book suggests.

If results go there way, the Tigers could find themselves top of the table by the end of the weekend and no doubt fans will have a keen eye on the top of the table clash between Brighton and Middlesbrough.

Steve Bruce will be hoping to improve his sides record against Rotherham having lost five out six previous game's attempts.

Here are THREE things to look out for in the Yorkshire derby between Rotherham and Hull City...

1) Rotherham's woeful form

The Millers have lost nine of the past twelve games with two wins and a draw, this is a team in free fall and something needs to change quickly.

Neil Redfearn seems to have his hands tied financially, and if he is hoping to improve his struggling side in January, he may have to get rid of some his surplus players.

Rotherham will hope the derby atmosphere, might have an effect on the players and they will compete with Hull, who have one of the best squads in this league.

2) Chuba Akpom

All eyes will be on the young forward, who is on loan from Premier League club Arsenal, after he reacted unfavourably to being replaced in his side's 2-1 victory over Reading.

He was substituted by Steve Bruce and petulantly threw his gloves and jacket around, with the Tigers' manager criticising the young forward post-match.

He has issued an apology to supporters, for his actions and we shall see if he makes the starting line up and if he does what happens should he be taken off again.

3) Farrend Rawson

The defender on loan form Derby, should return to the Millers starting line up to face Hull City following an injury.

He has recovered from the injury to his pubic bone, and will be available for selection, he last played in November in one of Rotherham's few league wins, against Bristol City.

Widely tipped to become a Premier League defender of the future, the Millers will settle for him helping them stay in the Championship.
