Huddersfield will make the long trip down to the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening, where they will hope to book a tie against Walsall in the FA Cup fourth round.

Both sides will go into the game on the back of results that were far from ideal, with the Royals losing 1-0 to an average MK Dons side, thanks to an acrobatic late Joe Walsh goal, which sealed the win.

Huddersfield themselves drew 1-1 with a Fulham side, who are starting to gain a little momentum under new boss Slavisa Jokanovic, but are nevertheless sitting in the lower reaches of the Championship table.

In the initial tie, the two sides drew 2-2. The game looked set for a replay before Hal Robson-Kanu gave Reading what they thought was a winner, but Nakhi Wells slotted home a 92nd minute equaliser to send the tie to a replay after all.

Here are THREE things to look out for in this match.........

1) Matej Vydra - The on-loan Watford striker has been hit and miss for the Royals, and seemed to be looking up in terms of confidence in the 2-2 draw, but put in another poor performance against MK Dons.

His up and down form has given Reading fans a lot to talk about in recent weeks, but a couple of goals here could silence the doubters and get his season back on track.

2) Reading's midfield performances - With the arrival of Manchester City's young midfielder George Evans looking imminent, competition in the centre of the park for the Royals will be rife, with Aaron Tshibola, Stephen Quinn, Danny Williams, Oliver Norwood all battling for a starting berth.

The performance of McDermott's chosen midfield pairing in this match could determine whether they keep their place in the side or not.

3) Huddersfield's tempo - David Wagner's philosophy at Huddersfield was always going to take time to work, with the German manager having to spark a languishing side into life, but in recent weeks, Wagner's side have looked a lot more up beat in their tempo, and that was epitomised by the 5-0 thrashing of Charlton.

They will be hoping that the draw at Fulham was a blip, that they can put behind them with a win here.
