Plymouth Argyle were not involved in FA Cup action at the weekend, so they should be fully prepared for the visit of Northampton Town to Home Park, for a top of the table clash in League Two.

League leaders Argyle have virtually a fully fit squad to choose from, the only player unavailable is loan signing Hiram Boateng.

The Pilgrims have won four games in a row, and are expecting a near capacity crowd as top of the meets second place Northampton in this League Clash.

Northampton have only lost once in six league games, and travel to Home Park in fine form and looking for revenge as Plymouth beat Northampton earlier in the season 2-0 at Sixfields.

Here are THREE things to look out for in the mouth-watering duel between Plymouth Argyle and Northampton Town.....

1) Graham Carey

Irish midfielder Graham Carey has been an instant success at Home Park and is a fans favourite in just half a season.

The playmaking midfielder makes the Pilgrims tick, his pace, movement, and distribution have been outstanding this season with eight goals in 24 matches.

The Pilgrims had a dip in form when Carey was out injured just before Christmas, now he's back, the Greens are flying once more.

2) Ruben Reid

Ryan Brunt has stood in for Argyle's top striker and has hit a rich vain of form scoring three goals in three games, but Derek Adams might be tempted to bring back Reid who has been fit but not in the starting line up.

Causing the Green Army fans to speculate about whether Reid was about to be sold, if he is unused again in such an important match, it will only add fuel to the fire.

3). Ricky Holmes

Northampton midfielder Ricky Holmes will be simply key for the Cobblers.

Holmes will be influential as he sets up play, and has a tremendous shooting ability and makes clever runs, to get something against table topping Argyle, they will need him to do all of the above.

Holmes scored two goals against Championship side MK Dons in the FA Cup last weekend, and having just come back from injury, may not start but either coming from the bench, or from the start, he will have an impact on this match.
