Nottingham Forest will go in search of their third win on the bounce when they welcome managerless Fulham to the City Ground this afternoon.

Dougie Freedman's Nottingham Forest will look to build on back-to-back home wins against Fulham this afternoon (3pm kick-off)

The Reds have secured two superb wins against Derby County and Reading in their last two games on home turf, and manager Dougie Freedman will be hopeful that his side have now started to turn the corner.

Fulham arrive on Trentside with interim boss Peter Grant still looking for his first win since replacing Kit Symons, having overseen two 1-1 draws so far in his temporary role.

The corresponding fixture in the 2014/15 campaign ended in a 5-3 victory for the Reds, with Britt Assombalonga helping himself to a hat-trick.

Here, Football League World's Lee Clarke takes a look at three things we can expect to see in this afternoon's contest...

1) Goals aplenty

Last season's two fixtures between Saturday's teams saw a 5-3 win for Forest and a 3-2 win at Craven Cottage for Fulham, so expect a few goals in the East Midlands this afternoon.

In Nelson Oliveira, the Reds have a striker who is in decent form and he will be looking to add to his brace against Reading last Saturday.

Fulham will have Ross McCormack in their ranks, and he will be hoping for another game like the one against Forest at Craven Cottage last season, where he smashed a first-half hat-trick.

2) Grant hoping for first win

An away win for the Cottagers at Forest tomorrow could go a long way towards Peter Grant being handed the managerial reigns on a more permanent basis.

He has overseen a vast improvement in terms of performance from his side since Symons bit the bullet, but he will be desperate to lead the team towards three much-needed points this afternoon.

Grant has plenty of experience as a coach at Birmingham City, Aston Villa and at Forest, and the players seem to be warming to his methods on the training ground.

3) Freedman to come out fighting

Last weekend could prove to be a big win in the career of Dougie Freedman as Nottingham Forest manager.

It is thought that failure to win last week would have seen the Scottish manager out of work but instead his side turned in one of their most complete performances of the campaign.

Three more points this weekend would probably hand Freedman the run of games over the Christmas period, and could put Forest firmly back on the straight and narrow as they look to climb up the Championship table.
