Forest are 12th in the Championship table and still have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs with their young, talented squad.

Dougie Freedman's men are 13 points off of sixth place with 39 points to play for. There is no reason to give up on the play-offs just yet, but you feel they need to bag all three points today against Bristol City.

The Robins are just two places above the drop zone in the Championship with an eight point cushion over Rotherham United.

Lee Johnson's side need a few more wins to ensure they remain in the Championship for next season, starting with the away match against Forest today.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Anthony Yeo identifies THREE things to look out for this afternoon's encounter...

1) Nelson Oliveira

Top scorer for Forest, the Portugal born striker has bagged eight goals this season and has the ability to cause all sorts of problems for Bristol's City's defence this afternoon.

Signed on a season long loan by Forest, he has not disappointed with his ability, only a lack of composure has limited the Benfica youngster to eight goals this season, but he is getting better each time he plays.

2) Jonathan Kodjia

Bristol City top scorer has hit 12 goals since arriving in the summer for a £2 million fee.

The Frenchman has been a constant threat for the Robins this season, and has been the most consistent player for the side.

If they can tighten up at the back and provide good service to Kodija, there is no reason why they won't survive this season, beat the drop, and build around the talented French forward next year.

3) David Vaughan

When Vaughan is slightly out of form so goes the Forest form, as he is one of the key figures in the Forest line up.

No midfielder has more tackles than Vaughan this season in the whole of the Championship, and if he is on top in the middle of the park today, it is hard to see the Robins coming away with the points they require.

Forest's talented midfield will definitely have a bearing on today's match.
