Ipswich, who made the play-offs last season before losing to arch-rivals Norwich City, have had a fairly disappointing season so far this year, rather like their opponents.

They currently sit tenth, just four points adrift of the play-offs, and have enjoyed a good resurgence in form, currently embarking on an unbeaten run of four games.

Wolves, rather like Charlton, did well last season and finished narrowly outside of the play-offs, but have made a bad start to the season with manager Kenny Jackett coming under fire.

They have lost four of their last six games, and find themselves 14th. They are struggling after the loss of star man Bakary Sako to Premier League side Crystal Palace, and the long term injury of Nouha Dicko.

They have found themselves reliant on Benik Afobe, with the service into him being particularly poor. The defence has also been woeful at times, although have recently added Newcastle United man Mike Williamson to try and fix their defensive problems.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Michael Hasan identifies three things to look out for in Saturday's game...

1) Daryl Murphy

Portman Road has been a fortress for Ipswich in the past, and they will hope to make it that again this season.

Last season's top scorer was experienced Irishman Daryl Murphy with 27 goals, but he had made a poor start this season, and failed to score for 13 games before netting an excellent hat-trick in their recent 5-2 win over Rotherham United.

Ipswich will hope that will kick start a good run of form for Murphy as his goals will be essential to spearheading a top six challenge.

2) The case for the defence

Wolves have had a disappointing start to the season, and the defence has been part of this problem as they keep conceding silly goals at bad times.

But since Williamson joined on loan, they have only conceded one goal in their last three games, and he personally put a very impressive display at Birmingham City.

They have good players in their defence with Danny Batth, Scott Golbourne and Dominic Iorfa all promising players and if they get back to form they could become solid again.

Ipswich had one of the best defences in the league last season with Christophe Berra and Tommy Smith solid at the back with Tyrone Mings and Luke Chambers impressive at full-back.

Jonathan Parr and Jonas Knudsen have started to fill the gap Mings left, and other than the 3-0 drubbing at the KC Stadium, their defence is returning to this form.

3) Struggling attack v improving attack

They are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to attack, with the Wolves attack really missing their two key players from last season in the shape of Dicko and Sako.

Afobe has had poor service and they only have three goals in their last five games.

Ipswich have also been struggling up-front with last season's top scorer Murphy being in a major goal drought, but he hit form recently and, with the help of Brett Pitman, they have seven goals in their last two games.

They'll be the more dangerous attack on Saturday.
