Ipswich Town will visit the iPro Stadium to face Derby County in their final game of the Sky Bet Championship season.

Derby County still have the play-offs to think about whilst Ipswich have nothing to play for, since they are outside the top six after a fairly disappointing season. The Rams can finish fourth if they win their game and Hull City lose at home to Rotherham United, and Ipswich can move up to seventh place if they win and Cardiff City fail to beat Birmingham City.

The home side go into the game following a 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on Bank Holiday Monday, where they conceded a last minute equaliser, and the Tractor Boys are coming off the back of a 3-2 win at home to relegated MK Dons, which ended a run of seven games without a win.

The last time these two sides met, Derby left Portman Road with all three points, Tom Ince's deflected shot was enough to win the game 1-0.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Rob Booth identifies THREE things to look out for in the game...

1) Derby to make changes

With the play-offs now only a week away, this would be the worst time for Derby to suffer any injuries.

Chris Baird was recalled from his loan at Fulham due to Jamie Hanson's shoulder injury, yet Jeff Hendrick and Bradley Johnson are expected to be back in the matchday squad following their injuries.

Derby could rotate the team to keep their key men fresh ahead of their play-off game against Hull City. Darren Bent and Andreas Weimann could both start, since they've scored Derby's last two goals after being introduced from the bench.

Youngsters Timi Max Elsnik and Callum Guy have featured in the first team squad for the first time in their careers in the past month, and could also be in the squad against Ipswich if the Rams are to switch things around.

2) Mick McCarthy's last Ipswich game?

After a pretty poor season in which the Tractor Boys missed out on a play-off place, Mick McCarthy has been linked with the Aston Villa job following their relegation to the Football League.

The speculation about McCarthy's exit has been fuelled by Ipswich's poor run of form that saw them go seven league games without a victory. As well as this, Ipswich's away form has been dreadful, winning just one away game in 2016, scoring just five league goals in the process.

Another poor away performance could mark the end of McCarthy's reign at Ipswich Town.

He joined in 2012, and has guided them to three consecutive top half finishes, including a place in the play-offs last season.

3) Chris Martin to get on the scoresheet

Martin hasn't scored in Derby's last five games, but the boyhood Norwich supporter will be eager to get a goal against his old club's rivals.

He is Derby's top scorer this season with 15 goals, and his last Rams goal came in the 4-0 home win over Hull City, who Derby will face in the play-offs.

Martin has scored two of Derby's last three goals against Ipswich and will be wanting to find the net again ahead of the play-off campaign. But Martin may not be in the starting line-up as he could be rested, and either Bent or Weimann could take his spot.
