Burton Albion are in terrific form, winning five out of the last six games, and they have only lost once at home all season.

Burton currently sit top of League One, five points clear of second place Coventry City.

Doncaster are mid table in 15th place but they have been on a good run of late, winning four of the last six games, the other two games being a draw and a loss.

Burton will hope to keep their grip at the top, and dispatch a mid table Doncaster side.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Anthony Yeo identifies three things to look out for in this afternoon’s match…

1) Burton Albion home form

This looks like a tough ask for Doncaster Rovers to get a result against Burton.

They have the second best home record in the league – Coventry have the best having not lost at home this season.

Clough also returns and this always seems to give the crowd and players a lift when a new manager takes charge of his first home game.

On paper, it looks like a home win, but football is not played on paper.

2) Doncaster’s defence leak goals away from home

Doncaster are not potent away from home, having netted just seven times, but far more alarming is the 18 goals they have conceded on the road.

It is no wonder they have just two wins from their away fixtures, one of the chief reasons why they see themselves down in 15th.

Fortunately, their home form is good or else they would be dragged into the relegation scrap.

3) Abdenasser El Khayati

He is Burton Albion’s top scorer with eight goals this season and is a real handful.

In this league, El Khayati is a pretty formidable forward.

He creates and scores goals, and poses real problems for defenders and, if Doncaster don’t keep a close eye on him, he could potentially put the game beyond them.

Doncaster will have to plug the gaps in their leaky defense and stop him to get something out of the game.
