Bristol City welcome Preston North End to Ashton Gate on Tuesday night, looking to build on their momentum from their 2-2 draw with Premier League side West Brom.

The Robins were so close to completing an upset over the Baggies, but a final minute James Morrison equaliser meant they will clash again in a FA Cup replay next week.

The West Country side have lost their last two previous Championship games to Reading FC and Burnley. They are without a win since beating Huddersfield Town on the 12th December.

Three points could see them jump out of the relegation zone above MK Dons into 20th place.

Preston North End come into the game winning two consecutive games against Rotherham and Hull, but suffered a setback in their FA Cup tie with Peterborough – losing 2-0.

North End look set to remain in the Championship for another season and a win in Bristol could see them rise to 11th.

Football League World Writer, Ashley Williams identifies THREE things to look out for….

1) Can Bristol City build on their impressive FA Cup draw?

Steve Cotterill would have been majorly disappointed to concede in the final minute of the game. They stepped up their performance in the second half and could have easily caused an upset.

This is a massive game for The Robins who face an in-form Preston side.

Defeat would sink Bristol’s fight to stay in the division as they face tough opposition in Middlesbrough, Leeds and Birmingham this month.

2) The return of Callum Robinson

Preston re-signed Aston Villa striker Callum Robinson on loan last week.

The 20-year had two spells at Deepdale last season, scoring seven goals in 28 appearances.

Robinson signed for Bristol City at the start of the season, but his loan was cut short after falling out of the first team.

The striker came on a substitute in Preston’s 2-0 loss to Peterborough at the weekend and could be in line to make his second debut with the club on Tuesday night.

Robinson will be out to prove to Bristol City what they missed.

3) Jonathan Kodjia back in the goals

The Bristol City striker scored his first goal against the Baggies since The Robins last won a game back on the 12th December.

That goal would have done him a world of good and the club will be hoping he will continue his momentum to steer the club away from relegation.

Kodjia has scored 10 goals for the club this season and is expected to continue his partnership up front with Aaron Wilbraham against Preston.
