Bristol City welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Ashton Gate tonight looking to continue their excellent form.

Since the arrival of Lee Johnson, the Robins have a 100% record that has really eased the pressure from the relegation zone.

The Robins are eight points adrift of the bottom three and Johnson has injected a consider amount of confidence in the side.

Johnson’s men will be looking to dispossess Brighton who took a thumping over their Severn side neighbours Cardiff City.

Chris Hughton will be looking to wipe that defeat against the South Wales side under the carpet and cement their play off position.

The Seagulls are still within touching distance of an automatic place, but have played two games more than Middlesbrough and Hull City.

Both sides will be looking to pick up maximum points for different reasons.

A win for Brighton would put the pressure on Middlesbrough. Meanwhile, Bristol can take a step closer to ensuring their Championship status.

Bristol City’s injury worries

Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has a number of injury worries ahead of the visit of Brighton tonight.

Defender Nathan Baker came off at half-time of Saturday's win over MK Dons with an achilles problem and if he is not fit enough, Alex Pearce is likely to deputise having taken his place at the weekend.

Fellow defender Mark Little failed a fitness test on a groin injury just prior to Saturday's game but will be assessed again.

Bristol City will assess the injured players right up until kick-off who have proved vital in their recent success.

Can Brighton bounce back?

Chris Hughton would have been furious with his sides display in South Wales at the weekend, and will be looking for an immediate reaction in tonight’s match.

The Seagulls have been one of the most consistent teams in the league this season, and many would argue that their overall performance justifies a place in the top two.

Hughton will be wary of Bristol’s reignited confidence, but will expect his side to see off the Robins. If they win tonight, all will be forgotten from the Cardiff game at the weekend.

Brighton’s defensive errors

Bristol City will be looking to take advantage of Brighton’s error prone defence.

No Championship side has made more errors leading to goals this season than Brighton.

The Seagulls will need to cut that out tonight against the Robins’ dangerous forward Jonathan Kodjia, who will make them pay if they continue that record.

The Robins forward ended a run of 11 Championship games without scoring, by scoring twice in Saturday's 2-0 win at MK Dons.
