Bristol City have just one win in the last six matches, leaving them in the drop zone in 22nd place, but they are only one point from Rotherham who are just above them in the table.

City have two new signings available for the match as forward Lee Tomlin and left-back Scott Golbourne both joined the club this week and are expected to be included in the match squad against the Blues.

Birmingham have won four out of the last five matches, which has seen them rise to 7th in the Championship table, level on points with Sheffield Wednesday in 6th.

Gary Rowett will hope to repeat the performance of their last away game which saw them run out 3-0 winners at Derby County.

Here are THREE things to look out for in the Bristol City v Birmingham City match.

1) Lee Tomlin

Bristol's new forward will be straight into the side to face Birmingham on Saturday after joining from Bournemouth on loan for the rest of the season.

The Robins have added Tomlin to the side so he can fire in the goals that will lead them to safety, and maintain their Championship status.

Tomlin has not had much football having failed to make an impact for Premier League side Bournemouth, and will hungry to get out on the field to play some first team football.

2) Diego Fabbrini

New £1.5 million Blues signing from Watford is ready to fire Birmingham into the top six and possibly the Premier League. Fabbrini looks set to make his debut

The 25-year-old Italian forward will add some extra firepower to Gary Rowett's side, who look to gain ground on the clubs that are playing in the F.A Cup this weekend.

Fans are excited to see the talisman in action following last seasons impressive five game spell with the club last season.

3) Bristol's defence

Bristol have conceded 47 goals this season and have a goal difference of -23, at Ashton Gate they have let in 22 goals in 14 games.

They have conceded on average a goal a game and if they wish to stay up, they must alter the amount they let in, which is why they signed left back Scott Golbourne from Wolves.

Manager John Pemberton made a good start in rectifying the defensive problems, with a great one nil win over league leaders Middlesbrough in the last home match and would like to repeat the feat when Birmingham visit on Saturday.
