Charlton Athletic will look to get back to winning ways this afternoon but face a difficult task as they come up against an unbeaten Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.

Things looked to have turned around for the Addicks after interim manager Karel Fraeye guided the side two consecutive victories over Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City, but that run was halted after their heavy loss to Ipswich Town last week.

The Belgian has two wins from his five games in charge of the club, and he will hope that he has done enough to convince owner Roland Duchatelet that he deserves the job permanently.

Brighton are still unbeaten and they currently sit second in the Sky Bet Championship table. They will hope to extend that run to 19 games this afternoon when Charlton travel to the AMEX Stadium.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Andrew Bell identifies three things to look out for in this afternoon's match...

1) A reinvigorated Bobby Zamora

When Bobby Zamora returned to Brighton in the summer, it was seen as quite the coup for manager Chris Hughton, being able to sign a player that scored 83 goals in his first spell with the club.

He scored the winner last week against Birmingham to send his side back to the top of the table, and that was the 34-year-old's fourth goal of the season.

The former England striker looks reinvigorated as he seeks to get his side promoted, and he has been leading the line incredibly well in recent weeks.

2) A defensive Charlton looking to end the run

Karel Fraeye has adopted a more defensive approach to games since his arrival as interim manager, particularly in away games, and he is likely to deploy the same tactics today.

The Addicks have struggled for goals this season and they could still do with a better end product but, defensively, they have been solid, apart from last week's 3-0 defeat to Ipswich.

Charlton will be boosted by the absences of Sam Baldock and Kazenga LuaLua, but they still have to find a way to prevent Zamora, James Wilson and Tomer Hemed from finding the back of the net.

3) An opportunity for Brighton to increase their goal difference

With the possibility of Charlton still suffering a hangover from last week's defensive horror show, and the quality Brighton possess upfront, this could be a convincing win for the Seagulls.

With Zamora in form and Wilson looking hungry to show Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal what he can do, Charlton could be in for a long day if they are both in the mood.

Brighton have scored the fewest goals in the top six of the Championship, and they will hope that the game this afternoon will be an opportunity to add to their 'goals for' column.
