Blackburn Rovers host struggling MK Dons this afternoon at Ewood Park with both clubs desperate for points to ensure Championship football next season.

lamberttt

Blackburn Rovers are 19th in the table and eight points above the relegation zone but they have had a severe dip in for and are not mathematically safe yet.

Rovers have just one win in the previous six games, which was a convincing 3-0 home win over Jekyll and Hyde team Fulham.

MK Dons are struggling just outside the relegation places in 21st place with a six point cushion over Rotherham United.

Their last win came away from home to promotion chasing Derby County, but since then then have lost one and draw one.

With games running out both clubs will want to pick up maximum points to make sure they are safe from the threat of relegation and begin planning for next season's Championship's campaign.

Here are THREE things to look out for in today's Blackburn v MK Dons match:

1) MK Dons reaction

MK Dons were poor in their last match against Huddersfield, yes they came away with a point but they were reliant on some poor Huddersfield finishing to escape from the game with anything.

Karl Robinson was positive after the match but in truth he will be expecting a reaction from his players as they fight for survival in The Championship.

If they play like they did in the second half of their last match Blackburn will punish them.

2) Blackburn to build on home form

After putting in a very satisfying display in their last home match against Fulham with a 3-0 win Rovers will want to put in another display of the same quality in front of their home fans.

Whilst also bouncing back from the away defeat to Derby County on Wednesday but it was a decent performance and there is positives to come out of that match as they did look relatively dangerous against a promotion chasing team.

Beating sides around them will be crucial if they are to stay up this season and Paul Lambert will know this game will be crucial as we approach the final games of the season.

 3) Danny Graham

Graham was outstanding against Fulham and had a very good game against Derby County mid-week. The 30-year-old forward is looking to build on those performances and add to his single goal tally for the season.

The striker joined on loan in the January transfer window and has been impressive so far in his short time at Ewood Park.

If he can keep producing the level of quality in the previous games, he will get goals and pull Blackburn away from the bottom three.
