Rock bottom of the Premier League Aston Villa almost went out in the previous round, after being outplayed by League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.

Villa are nine points adrift at the bottom the Premier League table, with only two home wins so far this season, the Villains have only one once in the last six league games.

Wycombe by contrast are sixth in League Two, but have lost their last two away matches, maybe with an eye on tonight's cup match they have gone off the boil in the league, they are still the form side of this tie and have a real chance to claim a Premier League scalp.

Here are THREE things to look out for in the third round replay between Aston Villa and Wycombe Wanderers....

1) Jordan Ayew

One of Aston Villa's few good points this season, the 24-year-old French forward looks like one of the few players putting in maximum effort at Villa.

Ayew has scored five goals for the Premier League side, which is over a third of the club's total goals, Ayew is Villa's best chance of a goal and the only player who looks capable of scoring at the moment for the bottom club.

His pace and strength is going to be key, providing his team mates supply him with the ball enough, he can be a difference maker.

2) Aaron Pierre

The 22-year-old defender was inspirational in the last meeting at Adams Park, he made 13 clearances and apart from the goal, commanded the defence of Wycombe superbly.

Two goals this season for the Chair Boys, in 26 appearances, Pierre will be hoping to put another resolute performance in at Villa Park on Tuesday night.

If Pierre can keep Ayew quiet, the Blues have a real chance against the Premier League side.

3) Matt Bloomfield

The 31-year-old adds that bit of experience these young players at Wycombe need, and he played a vital role in the previous encounter with the Premier League's bottom side.

He was the player adjudged to have fouled Westwood to give away the penalty in the first match, but he kept the Chairboys focused and they produced a great display and should of possibly won the contest.

His knowledge and experience will be critical to Wycombe as they try and reach the fourth round away to Premier League side Aston Villa.
