Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has once again been linked with a move away from the club, with Spurs suggested as a possible destination.

That's according to the Express, who claim that Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring the attacking midfielder in during the summer, 12 months after they failed to sign the player.

And, you can understand why as Grealish has been superb for Dean Smith's side since returning from injury, helping the side to four wins in a row.

To highlight his influence, Villa won two of the 14 games he missed.

Therefore, they will be desperate to keep hold of the 23-year-old but it could be tough for both the club and the player to turn down.

Here we look at THREE things that will be going through Grealish's head as the transfer speculation builds once again...

A move will increase my England chances

Grealish was overlooked by Gareth Southgate for his latest England squad, with the Three Lions boss making it clear that playing in the Championship was a major issue.

Every player dreams of playing for their country and the Villa man has the ability to get in the squad.

But, he needs to be playing in the top-flight and that could be a real advantage for Spurs if Smith's men stay down.

It will help fulfil my potential

Even though Villa are a massive club you could argue that Grealish has outgrown them now.

They are incredibly reliant on him and you feel sorry for him in the sense that the responsibility of promotion seems to rest on his shoulders because if he wasn't there they'd have no chance.

So, the chance to not be a big fish in a small pond may appeal and playing with the quality that Spurs have is sure to bring his game on a lot, whilst working for Pochettino could elevate his career to a new level.

Can I walk away from Villa?

The only real negative thought for Grealish will be that he's leaving the club he loves.

He is a Villa fan and recently stated scoring the winner in the derby against Birmingham was 'the best day of my life'.

So, this isn't a regular transfer where a player just moves on without a care. He is adored by the fans and is living the dream right now.
