QPR have had a positive start to the season and they currently sit in ninth place in the Championship.

The R's have been really good going forward and through strikers Nahki Wells and Jordan Hugill have scored a high number of goals already this campaign.

Although, they are yet to keep a clean sheet and that defensive record could come back to haunt them in future months.

Here's THREE things QPR need to work on in training...

Defensive structure

The R's must work on the defensive structure of the back five/four ready for when they face sides who carry just as much attacking threat as their own team.

Too many times, the three centre-backs have been caught out when on the ball, or in terms of the marking because they are not in the correct place in the defensive line and this will only continue to hurt them as the season goes on.

Full-back's forward play

The R's must work on the wing-backs' ability to keep their positions when in possession off the ball. They have to evaluate the risk and reward from attacking and then go from there.

There have been times when both full-backs on either side have been caught too far up the pitch and that has led to key chances for the opposition. As much as they are very good going forward with the ball at their feet, they have to understand the threats and how exposed it can leave the R's side.

Shot-stopping from goalkeepers

The goalkeeping hasn't really been impressive so far this season, yes Joe Lumley has made a couple of good saves but nothing worth raving about due to the goals that he's let in.

This has led to Mark Warburton introducing Liam Kelly into the side for the fixture against Blackburn, and despite doing well, he still conceded twice and it's becoming a problem that could have implications further on in the season.
