Leeds United have hit somewhat of a slump in recent weeks having won just one of their previous four league games.

The Whites drew 1-1 at home to Brentford at the weekend in a game which Marcelo Bielsa's men really should have won, as the Yorkshire club lost out on top spot to local rivals Sheffield United.

Nevertheless, the Whites still look a real contender for promotion this term having lost just one league game this season.

When Marcelo Bielsa arrived on English shores, no one really knew what to expect, but the Argentine has stamped his mark on the Championship almost immediately, playing his expansive brand of football.

The results are coming with the performances unlike years gone by perhaps, and the feeling is Leeds can go all the way this year, and as the Whites face a two week international break, we take a look at three things Marcelo Bielsa will be mulling over about Leeds...

Leeds will be back in action when they face Blackburn Rovers on the 20th of October, and they will be without Luke Ayling who was sent off in the clash with Brentford at the weekend.

This leaves the question, who will replace Ayling against Blackburn?

Will it be Gaetano Berardi, who is close to returning from injury but has been deployed as a centre-half this term, or youngster Jason Shackleton who has impressed a few times under Bielsa this season.

Speaking of injured players, according to reports Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe are said to be closing in on a return from the sidelines, and could feature for the under-23s during the international break.

But will Bielsa throw the duo straight back into first team action against Blackburn?

The latter is bound to come under serious pressure from Leeds fans to get back to scoring ways and spearhead Leeds back to the top of the league.

With Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford out with injury, Tyler Roberts has done a decent job up top for Leeds in their absence.

But, there is still an element of doubt surrounding the Whites' attacking line, and perhaps Bielsa will be mulling over whether to strengthen in January.

Mbaye Diagne is a name linked with a move to Elland Road - the Turkish League's top goalscorer with eight goals in eight games for Kasimpasa, and would be a magnificent signing for Leeds.
