Ruben Neves has been an integral part of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ title-winning side and has drawn interest from the top clubs in England, and around the world.

The 21-year-old has bagged himself just six goals this season, but is famed for scoring goals of the very highest class, and didn’t disappoint as all six goals were high quality finishes.

The Wolves talisman signed from Porto last summer for a reported fee believed to have been around £15.8 million, and has been subject to a lot of transfer gossip recently after helping Nuno Espirito Santo and his fellow team mates to the Premier League.

The Portuguese midfielder has played 42 times for Wolves this season, his longest playing spell in his career to date, and has drawn attention from Liverpool, amongst other clubs.

Here is what Liverpool fans need to know about Ruben Neves.

As before mentioned, Ruben Neves only scores good goals. With six goals to his name this season, every single one has not only been outside the box, but also, very special strikes.

The Portuguese midfielder’s wonder strike against play-off contenders Derby County won the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award in April.

64% of fans voted for his goal against the Rams that month, beating Jack Grealish’s superb volley for Villa against Cardiff and Lee Evans’ strike for Sheffield United.

Ruben Neves scored on his debut for his former side Porto in August 2014, aged just 17 years and five months old, becoming the youngest player in the club’s history to score a goal in the Premeira Liga.

Neves joined Porto at the age of 8, and after making his way through the youth set up, went on to make 59 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring three times along the way.

Despite being aged just 21-years-old, and spending this season in the Championship, Neves already has UFEA Champions League experience.

He played his first games in the competition for Porto in 2014, aged 17, becoming the youngest Portuguese player to appear in the tournament.

Neves went on to break another Champions League record, by becoming the youngest player to start as captain in the tournament, when he led his side to a 2-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the group stages.
