Leeds United are going very well in this year's Championship and after another good win against Burton last weekend, Garry Monk’s men continue to look strong.

It’s a far-cry from some of the problems they faced when the season got underway, with the Whites really turning things around after some poor results at the start of the campaign.

But despite things looking a lot rosier at Elland Road in recent weeks, we think there are still a couple of things the Whites could do to make things easier going forward.

Granted, they’ve had some strong results but if they want to be up there with the promotion chasers come May, they need to take things to yet another level.

There are some extremely good teams in the division this year and Monk must get the best out of each of his players if they are to have a chance at the promotion places.

So with that in mind, here’s THREE things Leeds United must do better going forward…

Putting chances away

It’s a little more difficult to critique a team like Leeds who are playing well but one thing the Whites must do better is take their chances.

The last game they lost in the league was against struggling Derby County and it was a match which saw Leeds hit the woodwork on at least two occasions.

If Garry Monk’s side are to be up there come the end of the season they must start putting all of their chances away, or teams like Newcastle will run away from them with ease.

Investment

Whilst this isn’t the hands of either Garry Monk or his players, it’s something Massimo Cellino should be considering if Leeds are going to continue to grow.

A small matter of investment could be the thing slightly keeping Leeds away from the front-runners in the division.

Newcastle United have lots of money to spend and are spending it, whereas the Leeds side is widely made up from freebies, loan players and bosmans.

If the Whites want to seriously compete, they need hearty investment and that can only come from the top.

Get the best out of their forwards

Despite starting slowly, the promise shown by the likes of Hernandez, Dallas, Sacko and Mowatt was clear to see.

It took time for these players to really get into the swing of things but once they did, things have really started to go the other way.

But part of us feels that there could be even more to come from these players, who have done very well already this season.
