A number of Championship clubs are chasing the loan signing of Juventus' Stephy Mavididi, according to TEAMtalk.

Mavididi recently became the first English player to play a league game for Juventus since David Platt in 1992 and with that accolade has come a barrage of interest from England.

Clubs across the Premier League and the Championship are keen to take the youngster on loan, reports suggest as many nine teams are interested, including Everton, Newcastle, Southampton, Burnley, Villa, Derby and Leeds.

Mavididi, 21, has been playing for Juve U23s for the majority of the season, and made his Serie A debut as a second-half substitute against SPAL in April, where Juve ended up losing 2-1.

He has been playing in Serie C for most of the season – where Juventus U23s play – and has scored six goals in 32 league games.

Despite Premier League interest, Mavididi only appears to be available on loan, meaning a Championship might be a more suitable option for him if he wants first team football.

Derby and Leeds must stand out as potential suitors, especially considering he was born in Derby. We take a look at three exciting things this attacker could bring to the team.

Speed

Although an out-and-out striker, Mavididi likes to use his pace to run in to wider channels while attacking to get in behind opposition defences.

From his time on loan at Charlton, Mavididi showcased his speed to the fans, scoring a wonder goal while playing on the left-wing vs Oldham. In this goal he picks the ball deep on the left and uses his speed and agility to beat four or so players before planting it in the bottom left corner.

For any team that buys him, Mavididi's pace and trickery will be a very useful asset. It can a potent weapon while playing on the break and it can be an efficient part of a defensive machine while playing with a high press.

Mentality

Playing for such a dominant side means that his mentality has to be spot on.

Mavididi has spoken in the press before about his friendship with Ronaldo and about training against Chiellini and Bonucci; experiences like this are only going to help the player reach the very top.

Learning from the professionalism of Ronaldo is something that as a player he may be able to pass onto other teammates. If he is used to having to train to those standards then he could raise the levels at the teams he may join.

Pressing ability

A very important part of the modern game - and especially Bielsa's.

Playing for a team such as Juve means that their squad will be extremely tactically aware and pressing is such an important part of that. Juve's attackers - with perhaps the exception of Ronaldo - are expected to press high and intensely to put pressure on opposition defenders. For a manger such as Bielsa, that will appeal very much for him, and he could end up playing a similar role to Kemar Roofe.
