West Brom remain without a manager but it could well be the case that that changes in the coming days according to some reports.

James Shan is overseeing things at the moment but they need a long-term solution as they look to get themselves back into the Premier League next season.

Plenty of names have come and seemingly gone, though, without one really ever getting near to being appointed, but now it looks as though one man could be in the frame.

According to the Express and Star, Slaven Bilic is in line for the West Brom job after having talks earlier this week with the Baggies.

The former West Ham manager left the London side with his tail between his legs after starting his time there so well, and Baggies fans will hope - if he arrives - he can continue in the latter manner.

He has a few things to sort if he does arrive this summer, then, and so here we take a look at three things he needs to address if he rocks up at the Hawthorns...

Sort the defence

Defensively, despite the options the Baggies have got across the back-line, they were suspect too often last season.

Bilic, a former defender, should be able to impart some knowledge whilst the likes of Ahmed Hegazi should be receptive to such coaching.

Bring in a striker

Dwight Gayle is gone, Salomon Rondon's future remains firmly unpredictable and Jay Rodriguez is by no means a guaranteed stayer as well.

They will need to add to their attacking options this summer for sure, and Bilic must have an idea of who he wants to sign this window.

Sort key men's futures

As hinted at, Rodriguez's future is far from certain, nor his Rondon's, whilst other players have got question marks over their career progression too.

Rekeem Harper has been linked away with his contract running down, whilst rumours also circulate around Craig Dawson and others - Bilic will need to establish who is staying and who is going as soon as possible.
