The Blades are currently in the middle of what will be a huge summer of rebuilding for the club following the appointment of new manager Chris Wilder.

They have released a plethora of players, as well as transfer listing numerous others, and come August it would be fair to say the first 11 will have a different look to that what we saw last term.

Wilder has made no secret of his happiness with a lot of the Blades attacking options, but one thing he has mentioned, is the potential need for a striker with a bit of presence about him.

While Billy Sharp and Che Adams should guarantee goals with Marc McNulty returning from Portsmouth also, the Blades could do with a different option should they require it.

James Hanson

Millwall have had a second bid rejected for Hanson
The big Bradford striker is a real handful when he plays, with his aerial threat causing problems galore for nearly every defence he comes up against.

He formed a formidable partnership with Nakhi Wells a few seasons ago, and was influential last season as the Bantams made it to the play off's in League One.

Hanson would add another dimension to the Blades and is definitely someone Wilder should consider taking a look at in the transfer market.

Alex Revell

The big striker was a revelation for United's close neighbours Rotherham United as the Millers won successive promotions, and he is a real handful for defenders.

He might not be the most prolific striker in the world, but he is capable, as his two goals in the League One play off final demonstrated 2 seasons ago.

Revell would be the perfect plan B for Chris Wilder, allowing the likes of Sharp and Adams to work in the space in and around him. He would be an ideal signing.

Tom Pope

Pope is always rumoured with moves to various clubs in every transfer window, and this summer is likely to be no different for the former Rotherham striker.

Pope is currently playing for Bury where he has failed to replicate the form which made him so revered at Port Vale, but there is no question he is a decent striking option up top.

At around 6 foot he offers plenty of height and aerial threat, and crucially, he knows the league inside out. The Blades could do far worse than to make a move for Pope during the summer.

Blades fans, would you take any of these? Let us know in the comments!!!
