Bradford City manager David Hopkin is keen to add a striker to his ranks before Thursday's transfer deadline, according to the Telegraph and Argus.

The Bantams are battling against relegation to League Two and despite a recent revival, they're back in a perilous position after a couple of bad results.

They drew 1-1 with Burton Albion this weekend, that coming on the back of a 4-0 thumping against Barnsley and a disappointing 3-0 loss to Southend United.

Those results have seen them drop back to 23rd in the table, although just three points separate them and 18th placed Shrewsbury.

Hopkin knows he has to add goals to his side and the focus over the next couple of days will be on finding the elusive striker that can help fire them away from the bottom four and bring a positive end to a thoroughly wretched season at Valley Parade.

Although the usual rhetoric is that good strikers are hard to come by, we think there's three who could join on a temporary basis who would severely impact their fortunes.

Here's FLW's guide to three strikers we think could save Bradford City.

Sam Surridge

Surridge has spent time with Oldham this season and has been linked in the Argus report with a Bradford switch. He's a real livewire, physical enough to occupy defences but with a certain guile that would be useful for the Bantams.

He's likely to be heading out of Bournemouth on loan and Valley Parade would be a good destination all round.

Rhys Healey

Healey is another who has been in League two this season, slamming home goals for MK Dons. It's no surprise since he's returned to Cardiff City, their promotion hopes have trailed off.

Healey would have a big impact at Valley Parade, he's a natural finisher and hungry to improve. The better level of opposition would surely suit his development.

Ellis Harrison

Harrison is proven in League One having been with Bristol Rovers, but he's fallen out of favour at Ipswich after his summer move.

He was part of Paul Hurst's failed experiment with lower league players, but he's still a burly forward with lots to offer the right side.

He'd fight for everything, a spirit needed throughout the Bantams side at the moment.
