Whilst the goals and plaudits pile up for Neal Maupay, it is worth remembering that he might be on his way in January.

He's been linked with a £10m move to the Premier League, although that figure sounds tentative and should he keep scoring, will have to increase.

If he does go, Brentford will be left hunting a new striker, but only as a partner for another exciting talent who is currently flying under the radar.

Ollie Watkins earned his stripes in League Two with Exeter City and, since he's swapped red and white stripes in the south-west for the same colours in the south-east, he's only got better.

He hasn't grabbed the headlines in the same manner as Maupay, but his all-round contribution has been just as impressive. He's unselfish in his play, willing to get himself involved in the dirty work and still young enough to learn and develop.

Forget the headline maker; here's a FLW Spotlight on the other Brentford star you should keep an eye out for.

Against Leeds at the weekend, Watkins played for 84 minutes before being taken off late on. He didn't score in the 1-1 draw, but his all-round contribution typifies the type of player that he is.

He managed to rattle off three shots at goal, but on this occasion couldn't get the winner for his side. He was a constant menace though, making a successful dribble and intercepting two passes through his endeavour and awareness.

He played a single key pass, but made 19 additional passes which are best described as 'functional' passes. It's not unusual for a forward to play far fewer than the other players, after all, there is usually little ahead of them other than defenders and the goal.

Of his 19 passes, 79% were a success, an impressive number and one most strikers in the division would be happy with.

Watkins didn't score, but his side picked up a point against a favourite for the title and they march on into the international break still very much a contender themselves.
