It’s been an impressive start to the season from Leeds United, although Marcelo Bielsa will still be looking for more in the coming weeks.

Leeds have 30 points on the board, but Bielsa will believe it should be more, as the Whites have dominated almost every game they’ve played.

Injuries haven’t helped, with Leeds’ trimmed squad tested by both long-term and short-term absentees.

Bielsa made the decision in the summer to trim Leeds’ squad down, bringing in just six new faces despite an exodus of players.

When January arrives we could well see Bielsa dip into the transfer market as he looks to strengthen his hand as the race for promotion gathers pace.

Of course, January brings risk too, with Premier League clubs surely monitoring some of Leeds’ standout players.

With all that in mind, we take a look at THREE scenarios that would make Leeds’ January absolutely perfect…

Roofe has seven goals to his name this season, with the forward spearheading Leeds’ promotion push.

Right now, it feels like there will be firm interest from the Premier League in the New Year.

Ideally, Leeds will avoid such a scenario and the 25-year-old will remain at Elland Road with a new deal under his belt.

Leeds’ attacking players have done well this season, but Bielsa will surely want more from his wingers.

Pablo Hernandez has been fine on the right, but Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison have struggled for consistency on the left.

Snapping up a player like Adomah would be a real coup for the Whites, as the Aston Villa winger has the ability to shine and score goals in this Leeds side.

There was interest in the summer, so Leeds could move again in January.

Pearce is well down the pecking order at Elland Road, with the left-back clearly not fancied by Bielsa.

The 20-year-old needs to be playing regular football and Leeds should look to get him out on loan.
