There is ongoing uncertainty about the future of Millwall star Jed Wallace, with the 27-year-old emerging as hot property this January.

Talk surrounding the attacker sparked back into life on Wednesday when Sky Sports (Transfer Centre: 5/1/2022; 11:33am) reported that Wallace was set to sign a pre-contract arrangement with Turkish outfit Besiktas.

Since then, it appears that Nottingham Forest have seen a seven-figure bid declined, as per a tweet from the Telegraph's John Percy, whilst Portsmouth-based media outlet, The News, have indicated that Leeds United and Watford are also in pursuit.

Whilst we wait to see what the future may hold for Millwall's talisman, we take a look at three Jed Wallace replacements Millwall should consider if he is to depart this month...

Anthony Scully

Lincoln City winger Anthony Scully started the season in excellent form but injuries have halted his progress as the campaign has progressed.

The 22-year-old has chipped in with 11 goals and three assists in all competitions so far this season, proving to be a real threat in the final third.

It is no surprise to see Scully shining once again, as his work last season was perhaps overshadowed by Brennan Johnson.

Scully is a versatile option who has been extremely influential in League One during the early stages of his career, and should be on the radar at the Championship club should Wallace depart, or even if he stays.

Elliot Anderson

Elliot Anderson is one of the country's most exciting prospects at the moment, with the 19-year-old Newcastle United midfielder on the fringes at first-team level.

With Eddie Howe now in charge, and Newcastle set to add during the transfer window, Anderson could be shipped out on loan to gain some senior experience.

According to the Chronicle Live, a whole host of EFL clubs are monitoring his progress in the north-east, with Millwall certainly being a destination that would shape his development.

The young midfielder, who excels when operating slightly more advanced or in a number 10 role, has all the desirable attributes to shine in the Championship.

Domingos Quina

According to the Watford Observer, the Hertfordshire club are assessing their options regarding Domingos Quina's immediate future, with the 22-year-old seeing a lack of game time at Fulham.

His low total of Championship minutes this season is more of a reflection on the talent that Fulham have going forward, as opposed to his inability to impress Marco Silva.

With the Hornets in pursuit of Wallace as well, Millwall could try and swing that to their advantage to secure a move for Quina.

Possessing pace, attacking intelligence, trickery and final-third devastation, the young attacking midfielder has the necessary skillset to impress at The Den.
