Huddersfield made the move last night to sack manager Jan Siewert following the team's loss to Fulham.

In another miserable performance by the Terriers, manager Siewert once again saw his side get back into the game before not having enough in the tank and allowing the visitors to net the winning goal with only tean minutes remaining.

The Terriers will now begin what they hope will be a quick search for a new manager to come in to the club an be the third man at the helm in less than a year.

It's threatening to be something of a nightmare story for Huddersfield after a few fairytale years in the Premier League and getting a new man in, and crucially the right man, will be key for the club in the coming weeks.

There's plenty of big name faces out there who could feasibly become the new manager of the Yorkshire club, so we here at FLW took a closer look at THREE potential replacements for Siewert at Huddersfield...

Sol Campbell

Recently out of work after leaving Macclesfield, it would be quite the jump for former England defender Campbell to make so early in his managerial career.

However, Campbell has impressed with Macclesfield and would be deserving of his chance at a bigger club in the second tier.

He's something of an unknown quantity at Championship level, but everyone needs a chance and he has the reputation and stature within the game to succeed.

Gary Rowett

Something of an obvious choice given his knowledge and experience of the Championship but someone who can do a good job for Huddersfield.

He would steady the ship if anything and his record in the second tier is not so bad despite his failed spells with the likes of Derby and Stoke.

The Terriers could do far worse than set on a man who will be itching to get back into management.

Chris Hughton

Probably a choice of many, if Huddersfield get Hughton then they will have done as well as they could have hoped for in replacing Siewert.

Hughton has a proven track record in this division and was a success in the Premier League regardless of his sacking by Brighton.

If the Terriers want to get themselves immediately back in with a shot at promotion and have an organised and well drilled team, then Hughton is the man they need.
