It looks as though patience is running out with Paul Heckingbottom with Football Insider reporting that he is on the verge of the sack at the club.

The men from Elland Road have had an awful 2018 where they have gone from potential play-off contenders to also-rans displaying relegation form.

With that in mind, then, and the fact that Hecky just hasn't seen things improve at all, it's clear that he could be leaving the club before too long.

According to the report, he is potentially going to be sacked imminently or at the end of the season as the club works on a shortlist and so it just remains to be seen who comes in next.

With that said, then, we've taken a look at three managers that might just be able to come in and have a positive impact ahead of the new campaign...

Mick McCarthy is surely the name on everyone's lips right now after he left Ipswich with immediate effect last night.

The former Wolves boss did a good job at Portman Road on one of the smallest budgets in the league so surely he'd do a fine turn for Leeds.

He's experienced and committed and those are traits the club needs now more than ever.

This would be hugely ambitious but if there's any side in the Championship that could feasibly do it, surely it's Leeds?

Sometimes it comes across with certain appointments that the club has forgotten its pulling power but this one would surely not hint of that.

Silva is a highly-respected coach after his job at Hull and he;d surely like the idea of restoring Leeds to their former glory.

This is perhaps a left-field one but it might prove popular fans.

For sure, it's hugely risky with Bowyer inexperienced but his start at Charlton has shown that there is a bit about him as a manager.

Enjoyed arguably the best period in his career at Elland Road and would have the backing of the support as well as the respect of the players.
